Ther main idea of the story is that Della and ger boyfriend Jim go out of their ways to buy each other gifts for christmas.
Della cuts her hair and sells it because she only has $1.87 to her name, so cutting her was the best choice for her because she wanted to get her boyfriend Jim something special for christmas.
Della's boyfriend jim sells his watch so he can get Della the combs that she allways wanted, but now i dont think she needs them because she really doesent have any hair.
her boyfriend Jim really didnt approve of her cutting her hair but he still likes her thre same say way that he did when she did have hair.but at the end they put their gifts away and they aint chops together.
