Dr. R. MIchael Benitez was aparently wrong to ascribe the death of Edgar Allen Poe to rabies though an animal infection. then to a more commen events to alcoholism.
Poe was found outside of a Baltimore saloon in an alcoholic state in 1849 he died three days after he was found.
I would have to belive it so all the evidence leads to him haveing a problem with alchole. He was found right out side of a saloon in an alcholic state. If that dont get your brain going on that he may have died from haveing to much to drink. on the other hand he died three days later some people my think that he died from rabie an infection caused by animal of any kind that may have bitten he.
No one cant how ever proven that poe was not drunk so this would have to be an open ended question?????
