I think the moral of the theme is that you don't have to get someone a gift to show
that you care about or love then all it is to show how you feel about that person .
If they do care about you as much as you care about them they would not care
what you get them or if you cut your hair just to get them a gife. In the story
it say "Don't you like me just as well anyways? I'm me with or without my
hair ain't I?". This to me says with or with out hair or a gife you can show
that you care about that person.
