I believe that the cause of Edgar A. Poe's death is both RABIES and ALCOHOL because they said he had all the symptoms of Rabies and they said he looked really dunk and well if you drink to much and you don't drink enough water that makes your body just want to give up on you and that's bad and i know that when you drink that sucks most of your hydration from your body out, i know that drinking water must have been painful for him but he really needed to hydrate his body.
But as for the rabies thing well when he got bit he should have gone to the doctors and get it treated or he could have washed out the bite and then ask a doctors if it was infected or if he has rabies.
Well now we know that Mr. Poe wasn't a very smart man because he didn't his bite checked or/and he was drinking so a little advise for Mr. Poe don't be stupid and always get tested on everything and not to drink to much alcohol because its not good for you or your body and next time he thinks that he wants to be a smart ass and not get tested well he should think twice before he makes that mistake again!!!!!!!!!
