Poe has been known to be dead by drinking alchol but researhers have said different. Poe was seen going into a bar but he was not drinking in fact it has been said that if Poe were to drink a single glass of wine he would be incredably ill. Another reason it could have been rabies was because in his 4th day at the hospiutal he was confused and was angry and he wanted to start a fight. Doctors said that is a big cause it could have been rabies.
Poe just absolutly refused alchol. When Poe drank water it was very hard for him to swallow. That was a reason he might have had rabies said the doctor. They asked Poe if he was ever bitten by an animal and he said he cant remember. 25% of victoms with rabies dont remember if they have been bitten.
