main idea
This story is about a girl with one dollar and eighty-sevn cents. She really likes this guy and Christmas is coming. She needs to find a way to get a present. so she does something crazy to get him the present.
Della needs to find a way to get mony for a present for Jim. So Della stops at the place called mme. sofronie. Hair of all kinds. Della asked the lady if she could buy her hair. The hair sold for $20.
Della got the $20 and now she is going to buy a watch for him. so she gets the watch and goes to the apartment to give the present to him. then he gives her a present. Della opens the present and got a comb.
