the morel of the story is that no matter what happens that you will always get out of it for example:Della wanted to get something for Jim but she had no money so she sold her hair to get the money that she need to get the gife for Jim. as did Jim so by the time they gave each other there gift's they told each other what they did to get there gifts for them.
So I guess what it's trying to say it that that people that give up something that is close to them to get something for some one else then you are wise because your giving somthing up that is of vaule to you and you dont know its going to turn out when you do so people that do that are the wisest of all those who give and receivei gifts in that way they are the Magi .
